Snowboarding
Something everyone should try :)

We made our way to Bittersweet Ski Resort which was only located about 20 minutes away from Lil Old Kalamazoo.
Went in there, rented our boots and boards, paid a large sum of money (which was $51 USD). Definitely a pain in the pocket :(

Snowboarding shoes were big a** huge. Everyone was walking around in a super weird style and after we wore it, we understood why. Freaking hard to walk in it.

Yup, the guys struggled to get the fat feet in those chunky but ultra tight boots

Elsie Jie and LynN Jie

Where we got our Snowboards.

The length of the Snowboards depends on a person's height. The (standing) snowboard should be as high as our eye level. So yeah, Wilson got the longest board and Chi Weng got the shortest.

:P

We only boarded at the Bunny Slope because most or us (except Big Bro Shaun) were amateurs. Apparently, Snowboarding ain't easy AT ALL. I dare say that it is a painful sport because there is bound to be more than 5 HARD FALLS. I personally knocked my head on the ice a couple of times. The impact of the fall was so great that my tight beanie flew out from my head.

The last time I skied when I was 12 years old, we had to walk all the way up the peak of the slope to ski down. Thankfully for us here in Bittersweet, we had the chance to enjoy the facilities of getting pulled up by a motor rope.

Basically what we do is that we would just grab the rope and let ourself be pulled up the slope. Then again, it ain't as easy as it looks because ALL of us fell our first few times.

For those who couldn't get up with the Motor Moving Rope, theres the escalator which was a much slower process. But Definitely much safer. :)

Resting after a series of Hard falls

Do I look like a pro to you? :)
Owh well, my jeans were freaking soaked till it was so darn heavy.
Snow went into my sleeves and pants, even my thermals that I wore inside my jeans and my underwear was WET.
Lesson number one, BE SURE YOU HAVE ON WATERPROOF CLOTHING

I didn't have problems coming down the slope, in fact I did it like a pro......

Too bad I had problems breaking.
I slammed myself on a random guy and the end of the slope. I tell you I was so darn freaking embarrassed! His gf even cried.
Now that was a mystery to me because I only knocked him down. His gf was still standing there watching him. And out of the blue, she cried... Boy, I felt like crap....
I didn't even touch an inch of her hair and she cried.
I don't know, probably they were arguing or something before I slammed him down.
By the way, I DID APOLOGIZED VERY SINCERELY.

Our bodies ached like no bodies business.
Both my knees were swollen and bruised up. Not to mention, I even and the map of Australia on my Butt. Yea.. All these for Snowboarding...
Owh well, at least I can tell people that I have Snowboarded.
It is definitely a sport worth trying, just don't expect it to be easy AT ALL!

Anyways, Have a GREAT NEW YEAR everyone!
May all your wishes and resolutions of the year come true!
God Bless all of You.

Snow babeh Snow!!
It has been a while since it snowed. So yeah.. Some excitement in our little boring town.

Lynn camwhoring after seeing the fluffy snow fall.

We were on the way to Sindecuse (The Hospital) of WMU because I had some bites on my body (which I assumed were Bed Bugs) and Lynn had some hormonal upset.
I heart frosted rooftops and pine trees. They look so yummy dummy.
XP
Jump and fall babeh!
The roads were darn slippery. Ken almost bang another car while driving, Wilson hit the divider and there were a few accidents because there was a layer of Black Ice on the road.
We could really see cars in front of us moving left and right like no ones business.
DARN DANGEROUS!!

Snowflakes keep falling on our heads.... *

Snow fights are darn fun especially when all of us are bored in Kalamazoo.
:)

Till then, stay tuned for my Snowboarding Experience post soon!
*hugs to all*

I strongly suggest you guys who are interested to go for this workshop.
I have personally worked with Elaine Pedley and she is a great person to work with.
An all-rounded artist who had an excellent background in Dance.
If I am going to be in Malaysia during that time, I would take part in it.

10 Rules for Being Human
Yes, since the end of 2007 is drawing near I thought that it would be good to just post something which I think might inspire you guys and also myself.

1. You will receive a body.

You may like it or hate it, but it will be yours for the entire period this time around.

Apparently, being a typical 'slightly chubby girl' I am not happy with my body. BUT, I am very thankful for what I have and I will workout to improve my current condition :)
No worries about that. I'm currently doing 100 sit ups a day for about 2 weeks already. I know thats very little compared to those who have been working out ever since forever but I will improve on myself aite!

2. You will Learn Lessons.
You are in a full time in-formal and formal school called Life. Each day in school you will have the opportunity to learn lessons. You may like the lessons or think that they are irrelevant or stupid.

For now, I am loving the life I am living. Although I might get depressed at times, I still think that I should be grateful for what I have and already been through. I never liked Elementary School.. The only thing I loved about it was the yearly singing competitions that I won. Besides that, my relationship with my elementary school friends was always a rocky hill.
As for High School, it was okay. I learned a lot. What I am now was mainly because of high school. I don't LOVE high school, but I don't hate it either. It was like a series or lessons that I learned. Cheer, Friends, Bitching, Love and etc.
University life was fun in Sunway. I can say that that was the peak of my schooling life. My grades were good as I maintained in the Dean's List until the very last semester, my love life was soaring high as I had someone dear to share it with, my friends were amazing as we supported each other through ups and downs organizing events every semester, my music was doing okay and had achieved my dream of having a Vocal Diploma.
University life WAS Enjoyable.
Now that I am here, things change. It's like a 180 degree turn around.
Classes are totally different and all. Friends are a different bunch and the activities we have are totally the opposite. I am still coping with all the culture shock but I can say that things have been pretty fun for my first semester in the United States.

3. There are no mistakes, only lessons
Growth is a process of trial and error in experimentation, the 'failed' experiments are as much as a part of process as the experiment that ultimately 'works'.

Personally, I have done A WHOLE LOT of very STUPID things in my life. Some are funny, some I don't even want to think about. Like I have said, trial and error. And the best place to have that is in high school.
Good Luck High School Kids!!

4. A Lesson is Repeated Till Learned
A lesson will be presented to you in various forms until you have learned it. When you have learned it, you can go on to the next lesson.

5. Learning Lessons Does Not End
There is no part of life that does not contain lessons. If you are alive, there are lessons to be learned. There is no way you can escape it. Well, unless you kill yourself and that definitely is a loud shout out saying that you can't live to stand challenges.

6. "There" is not better then "Here"
When your 'there' has become a 'here', you will simply attain another 'there' that will again look better than your 'here'. To cut the whole long story short,
Grass ain't greener on the other side.

7. Others are merely Mirrors of Yourself
You can not love or hate something about another person unless it reflects to you something you love or hate about yourself. So yeah, love your neighbors as yourself.

8. What you make of your like if up to you
You have all the tools and resources you need. What you do with them is up to you. The choice is yours. Thats what lessons are for. You learn em, then you put em into good use. You are the potter of your life. Mold yourself into what you dream of yourself to be. Obviously you need a little some blessings from God and a teeny bit of luck. So PRAY HARD!

9. Your Answers Lie Inside You
The answers to life's questions are all in you. All you need is to LOOK, LISTEN and TRUST.

10. You Will Consciously Forget All This
But it will be retained as a soul memory in the subconscious part of you and will because a part of your foreverness. That is when you start making mistakes and learning from them all over again.

Till then,
I am going to ski in a few minutes! :)

Merry Merry Christmas and a Happy Boxing Day!!

We had a half White Christmas.
Just a lil snow, but it didn't matter because we were all indoors busy cooking up a Christmas Meal with that little Veggies and Meat we had.
Know what, Christmas here is like Chinese New Year Back home.
NOT a single shop is open!
*Literally*

We had to go to Seven Eleven to buy Canned Veggies because we had no choice.

Our Pretty Tree.
I just think that the only flaw about the tree is that it has too little lights.
But its ok. :)
I still love it.

I was kinda in a Colorful mood yesterday. even my Socks had colored stripes on em that I looked like a Christmas Ornament myself :P

Presents around the tree. Check out the Louis Vuitton and Gucci Boxes.

Dinner Preparation

We didn't have enough plates so I used the small one.
We had Mixed Veggies, Roasted Pork Marinated in red Wine *omg*, Mashed Potatoes (made entirely by me XD), Pasta and Western Vegetable Soup.

We had a gift exchange thingi where everyone bought gifts for everyone. :)

Jon's Bath Robe and Chocolate Cigar that Lynn and I got him.

All the present papers and boxes.
Oh-the-mess

My pile of presents from everyone :)

I didn't take a lot of pictures because we were all busy unwrapping presents together.
T'was fun. Never had anything like that in Malaysia :)

Till then Readers.
Have a Blessed Boxing Day!

Its Christmas Eve!
Its the day that my friends are coming back from New York!
*which means it wont be so boring anymore, I hope*

I can't wait to see them and hear all about the ci
ty that never sleeps.
I can't wait for Christmas because we'll be all opening our presents together under our real life pine tree that we just decorated yesterday :)
The Gifts underneath the tree looks so appealing and yes, it will be my first time having so many present in my entire life.
We're exchanging gifts this Christmas!
You see, my family don't really practice exchanging gifts and neither do my friends. So Lynn and I will always be like Santa Clause during the Christmas Season shopping and giving because we both believe that it is good to give. Plus, Christmas is the time of giving am I right? :)

This is not our tree. Its just a random picture I got from Google Images. I'll post pictures of our tree when I get em :)
So be patient and don't get jealous. :)

I had a pretty rough day yesterday.
I woke up with a little stomach upset and totally ignored it. I went to church, had my lunch and went shopping for our Christmas Tree Ornaments feeling a little wind in my poor tummy.
The tummy ache really kicked in when I got home. Just felt like vomiting and I was so darn freaking bloated.
Had a little diarrhea and vomited my lunch out and still felt like crap.
Never in my life my stomach felt so sickly.
Owh well, although I can still feel that wind in my tummy, I'm glad that I'm feeling MUCH better now. I just don't want to get sick on Christmas.

:/

Till Then,
I am Bored.

Greetings people!
The Holidays has just officially begun!!!

Chicago on a Friday
after finals...

Yeah.. after a whole new semester experience in Western Michigan University in Lil Old Kalamazoo, we finally traveled more than 2 hours away from the Lil Country Site we were stuck in for four months. Not that I don't like it here but you guys gotta understand that I have been such a good girl, (not going to beer parties and socializing) So here we are, looking forward to city life!

Our first sight of Chicago, the Toll

Lynn and I were totally going hysterical when we caught the sight of tall buildings.
Haha... I think the tallest commercial building we have gotten in was the Crossroads Mall which was only 2 floors...
haha... WMU transfer students, am I scaring you? :)

Chicago was so much of a city, Lynn and I were kinda like having a culture shock when we saw that there were so many annoying honking cars...
Haha.. I guess that we were too use to the quiet friendly Kalamazoo Neighborhood.
People opening doors for you, Cars stopping to let pedestrians pass and etc.

Lynn and I were actually wondering how would we feel about KL when we get back

We finally saw multiple floor malls

And then we started our shopping in Michigan Avenue, a long stretch of branded labels in Chicago. (Well, Lynn and I had more of a window shopping spree though)
:(

I was a two headed monster for a second

Liposuction, Face Lift, Plastic Surgery or Brest Enhancements anybody?

The first MNG we found in US

The superb night lights that we miss

Every kid's dream shop

Was waiting for Lynn in the Nike Restroom so I camwhored a little while.

Dinner time at CHEESECAKE FACTORY

We brought back a Godiva CheeseCake which was crazy.. something everyone has to try.. :)

Funky Christmas Decos.

The night lights of the City of Chicago

And the Hard Rock Cafe we passed by on the way out of the city.

Overall this trip was fun and interesting because the group of friends we went out to.
But I am looking forward to more sight seeing the next time I go there. I want to go to the pier and the tower.

Well, shopping will never be fun without cash right.. hahah
Till then...
