Dunes and Dirty word

My job at Saugatuck has finally come to a halt.
As much as I am excited get back to school, and prepare for my Senior Showcase in New York and perform with one of Broadway's Stars, Julia Murney in December who performed and originated in many Broadway roles, I miss Saugatuck already.

Julia Murney.

Here's a video of her performing in Broadway's uber popular musical WICKED and THE WILD PARTY.

Magnificent no?

Alright, back to Saugatuck.
I really can't express how much I missed the environment, and the new found friends that I've made throughout the short one month of my Summer.

Here are some pictures of the boat trip we took to Lake Michigan and the Dunes.

The selfless guys that we so kind to bring us on their boat for the trip.

Admiring nature's beauty, Lake Michigan.

One thing about Saugatuck, it is suck a rich community that almost everyone owns a Bungalow with their own private beach and their own private boat.
How can one not enjoy?

We had cocktails on the boat and rode down Kalamazoo River to Lake Michigan.

The calm waters.

That was when we were told to down our cocktails and we were at maximum speed on the lake.

The boat was going so fast that my sunnies were flying off.
To feel the warm breeze on my face, and the feeling of flying in the air was no doubt, priceless.

We finally found the highest dune and anchored the boat.
There were people sailing that day too. Check out the yacht!

That was when we leaped off the boat into the cold water and swam our way to shore.

Here's a weird picture of me screaming and jumping in the water at the same time.

Jeffrey, Sarah, Chelsea

Chelsea and I cam-whoring.

I guess I never appreciated and enjoyed the sun when I am not in the States, just because Malaysia, Macau, Bangladesh, Nepal, and all the other hot countries that I've been to were extremely humid.
I crave the sun now. Why is it so cold. It's not even autumn yet!

Okay, if you don't know what dunes are, here's a picture of it.

In physical geography, a dune is a hill of sand built by aeolian processes. Dunes are subject to different forms and sizes based on their interaction with the wind. Most kinds of dune are longer on the windward side where the sand is pushed up the dune, and a shorter "slip face" in the lee of the wind. The "valley" or trough between dunes is called a slack. A "dune field" is an area covered by extensive sand dunes. Large dune fields are known as ergs.

Some coastal areas have one or more sets of dunes running parallel to the shoreline directly inland from the beach. In most cases the dunes are important in protecting the land against potential ravages by storm waves from the sea. Although the most widely distributed dunes are those associated with coastal regions, the largest complexes of dunes are found inland in dry regions and associated with ancient lake or sea beds.

Dunes also form under the action of water flow (alluvial processes), on sand or gravel beds of rivers, estuaries and the sea-bed.

Just so you know, we climbed that dune and it was extremely high as you can see, I've circled the size of a person compared to the dune.

Also, it looked so much easier than it actually is to climb that darn thing.
Since the entire thing was made of sand, just imagine running up a 25 degree hill on the same spot. I had to get on all fours to climb that thing, and my calves were hurting so bad and it was not like I am not used to running since I've been hitting the gym almost everyday.
It was physically challenging but so damn worth it.
We got to see the most awesome view, and the forest view behind the dunes.

After a whole long day at the lake, we had a grilled Salmon feast at a cast member's house.

This is Doug, he played the Vice Principal in Spelling Bee.
Apparently, he went fishing with his parents earlier that day and they caught 13 pieces of extremely large Salmon. And that was what we had for dinner that night.
That pot of marinated Salmon was less than a quarter of what he caught.
Was so darn good......

Summer Lovin'

Awesome company, magnificent environment, lovely community, great food, the best job ever in history. Literally, a life of a Rock Star.

I have a bunch of words from the Dirty Bee that we performed for a fund raiser which I thought would be cool to share.
However if it might come to offend some people in some way, just click on the X button on the top right of the window (or if you are using a MAC, the button will be on your top left), and you will be free of what you might think is nonsense.

Dirty word of the day:

Definition: Relating to sexual activity, in which one person enjoys inflicting physical or mental suffering on another person, who derives pleasure from experiencing pain.

Sentence: after reading Billy Ray Bob's failing report card, his mother said, "If you weren't suck a Sadomasochist, I'd slap your ass right into next week!"

Till then.
