The SING OFF Season 3 auditions were this past weekend.
After meeting up only 4 times, our month old acappella group went in to S.I.R studios to audition for the NBC's reality TV show. I must say that we did pretty well in it.

Saturday was a long day. we met up at 9.30am so we could run through our two songs that we prepared for our audition appointment at noon. After a long waiting process, we finally got seen at 3pm. The casting group loved us and told us to come back with a Broadway song because they wanted to market us as the 'New York musical theatre group'. Lol. What's new. That was what we are anyway.
After being seen by the casting team, we were brought outside for pictures, and a bunch of interviews with different people. We had the camera crew following us and recording every little conversation that we have. I must say, it did make me feel like a celebrity. But on the other hand, we are in New York after all. Everyone is some sort of celebrity.

I went to work after that. Came home at 3am in the morning after 9 and a half hour shift.

3 and a half hours later, I woke up, got ready, and left to meet with the group for a rehearsal of the new musical theatre song that they requested for.

We met up in front of the Penn Station and since we didn't have any rehearsal space, we started singing by where we met (literally, by some random steps). We started getting a lot of attention. Two bus loads of tourists drove by and requested that we would sing more, a homeless lady tried getting people to pay us for singing, a guy actually did and gave her 2 dollars which she kept. We than decided to move to another location just in case we would get in trouble because what we were doing was indeed illegal.

To cut the long story short. We had an amazing fruitful audition weekend although I felt like nothing but to just crash on my couch the moment I set foot in my apartment. It was a LONG weekend.

Anyway, I am sure you would like to see what we've accomplished so here are some footages of the audition process!

While rehearsing on the streets.........

And yes, we got kicked out of a bank while singing...... Yes, I know. Who sings at a bank?
Well, someone once saw a guy serenading the bank tellers with his guitar and song and figured that we could do the same. We tried!

Seasons of Love was the song that we came for during the callbacks. Learned it in less than an hour because I was stuck at work the night before.

Teenage Dream was one of the first few songs we learned since VocalMotion formed.

We have a couple more songs which we didn't manage to have footage for. Hopefully soon!

Now, all we can do is wait. Pray for us and hope for the best that you'll see us on NBC!

That's all for this week! Stay tuned!
